NFL Picks Week 1 Preview On the Steelers

The Steelers added two offensive lineman early in the draft who will step in and immediately make this a much better offense.  Because of the improved protection, Ben Roethlisberger will have the best year in his career.  The way the line played last year is what kept him from reaching the elite level that he's known to be able to play on.

With Mike Wallace being one of the best receivers in the NFL, this should be his favorite go to guy.  Wallace has the ability to stretch the field, catch the ball in real tight spaces and run it across the middle.  He will catch no less than 100 balls this season.  Antonio Brown will be his second go to guy.   He's not as good as Wallace but he is a reliable receiver.  The third receiver Emmanuel Sanders will pick up the catches that Hines Ward [retired] leaves behind.  Sanders should catch 60 or 70 balls this year.  Heath Miller a real good tight end, doesn't have big numbers.  However, everything else that he does is productive. Rashard Mendenhall will not be ready for the game against the Broncos.  Isaac Redman will have the starting role at running back.  Redman is a big back who plays like a big back.  If he gets 200 carries, he will end up with more than 1,000 yards rushing.

NFL Picks Week 1 Preview On The Broncos

Denver's offense will be exactly the one that Peyton Manning ran in Indianapolis.  That's the offense that he has been used to.  This offensive scheme is the one that he has played so well for so long.  Everything you hear from the Broncos' camp is that Manning is healthy, and that he is going to be his old self.  Don't expect the numbers to be of the charts like before.  Manning's transition is going to take a little time, but he will be very effective.

Demaryius Thomas will be his primary receiver.  He is on the verge of having a breakout year.  He has excellent speed and can do a lot of things after the catch.  Manning's second receiver Eric Decker is very solid as well.  He should end up as the slot receiver. Manning loves utilizing this type of wideout in the red zone.

The Broncos will play tight ends Jacob Tamme and Joel Dreesen a lot.  Because of his days with Manning in Indy, Tamme will get a lot more looks from Manning.  Willis McGahee will have an even better year than he had in 2011.   Manning being in the field will have McGahee producing more on the running game than he did last year.  Look for these Broncos to cover the NFL Odds most weeks.
